So if the action is something like Meet at the Inn! or the effect from Blind the Gods where you are both drawing, it happens after the cards are drawn, and you can play it to discard the cards if it is one of the cards you drew as a result of their action. -If you play Twist of Fate to discard the cards from Meet at the Inn! or Blind the Gods, it discards the cards you drew as well.
