Igniting the Storm
Diabolus Ryden Overlord Attack
Diabolus Ryden has one purpose: restore the Storm and harness its power. He is making a burnt offering of the Stormtouched, releasing the Storm essence within them and channeling the mountain's destructive power into it. Stop Diabolus before he succeeds in igniting the Storm.

How the challenge works
Overlord as Warlord
Diabolus Ryden is considered to have the Warlord Character type for this challenge.
Ten-card hand
The Challenge Runner playing Diabolus Ryden has a hand size of 10 cards.
Rekindle the deck
If the Challenge Runner would draw or retrieve from an empty deck, shuffle the discard pile into the deck. If the discard pile is also empty, play proceeds.
Igniting the Storm
At the end of each turn, opposing characters within two ranks of Diabolus Ryden must succeed with a Dexterity check (DC 18) or suffer two wounds.
Optional delayed ignition
If Diabolus went undefeated during the prior week, the Challenge Runner may wait until the end of turn two before using Igniting the Storm. Runners are also encouraged to delay it during Sealed or Draft challenges.
Challenge Runner notes
Piloting Diabolus Ryden
Diabolus is both a cleric and a wizard. Use the 10-card hand and compact deck to maintain more playable options than the challenger. Ghed Daucet and Ghed Bane are strong choices for Diabolus' Limited Order, especially with Hod's Legacy and Quick Strength. Cloak of Brilliance can give the opposing character disadvantage before the check, while Magic Missiles creates seven +0 strikes that can overwhelm the challenger.
