Warlord TCG Collector Dispatch
Collector Update — August 11–31, 2026
A major Warlord Collector update covering War Room improvements, the public Learn to Play experience, Warlord mastery rewards, collectible sleeves, dice and playmats, public deck challenges, rules support, and community recognition.
A lot has changed across Warlord Collector since August 11. This update focuses on improvements that directly affect collectors: the War Room, rewards, cosmetics, decks, rules support, and learning the game.
Thank you to everyone who has played matches, reported bugs, tested new features, and shared suggestions. Many of the improvements below came directly from your feedback.
A Better War Room
The War Room received a major interface overhaul designed to show more of the battlefield while using less vertical space.
Key improvements include:
- A more compact command ribbon and decision panel.
- Better placement of the opponent's hand and battlefield information.
- Centered initiative dice and clearer roll presentation.
- Improved card, equipment, and action interactions.
- Better desktop and smaller-screen layouts.
- A smarter Recruit CPU that plans further ahead and makes better decisions about attacks, movement, journeys, reactions, and card usage.
- Faster state updates and more reliable automatic CPU turns.
- Improved protection against duplicate commands and match-event errors.
We also completed a large audit of the Into the Accordlands cards, promos, and Overlord content. Orders, Spend Orders, Reacts, movement, targeting, spellcasting, and generated strikes received extensive corrections.
Recent player reports led to additional fixes involving Memoriam, Brightwing, Noble Sacrifice, Terrorize, Nehil, Lord Barrow, Corpse Crowd, and many other cards. These are representative examples—the complete engine audit covered considerably more.
Public Learn to Play
A complete Learn to Play experience is now available without an account.
The tutorial places the player in command of the Dwarven Forges against a Recruit-controlled Deverenian Empire deck. It uses the regular War Room battlefield and guides the player through an entire match.
The lesson includes:
- Initiative rolls and complete dice-result history.
- Drawing, deploying, spending, attacking, reacting, and moving.
- Equipment, actions, card effects, and targeting.
- Visible opponent turns so players can learn from both sides.
- Readable cards, including Strongarm Stout.
- Warlord deck and reserve displays.
- Manual progression through instructional messages.
- Hands-on guided actions where players click cards and battlefield positions themselves.
The tutorial remains private guest practice. It does not create a public match, affect statistics, award mastery progress, or require registration.
Warlord Mastery Rewards
Collectors can now earn matching Bronze, Silver, and Gold badges and card sleeves by completing qualifying War Room matches with supported Warlords.
Rewards are awarded at:
- Bronze: 25 completed qualifying matches
- Silver: 50 completed qualifying matches
- Gold: 100 completed qualifying matches
Progress is recorded after the qualifying match has been completed.
There are now 31 supported Warlord mastery paths:
Archivist Myrina, Gorthos, Rone of the Deepbrook, Annetta Yscar, Commander Retsov, Sklot the Cruel, Nisha, Church Enforcer Tancred, High Acolyte Hellene, Librarian Shastra, Lord Belasco, Grand Inventor Otto, Kurak Stonejaw, Memoriam, Seeker, Grovewarden Elumera, Lord Barrow, Shyessa the Weaver, Tazian Dythanus, Adathan, Efrim Dawntreader, Hunter Merril, Mair Haven, Alrayn Gaunt, Anacaona, Ramesh, Z'adok, Kazkah, Vactus, Wa'San, and Warboss Azh'kal.
Each tier uses approved artwork with visually distinct Bronze, Silver, and Gold treatments.
Dice Collection Update
The collectible dice catalog has been streamlined around the approved core collection.
The current collection contains:
- Seven Starting Dice
- Beta Vanguard Bronze
- Beta Vanguard Silver
- Beta Vanguard Gold
- Eye of the Storm
Beta Vanguard dice retain their numbered faces from 1–19, with a special holographic treatment on the natural 20.
Dice can be selected as an account default or assigned to individual decks.
Card Sleeves
Many new sleeves have been added, including complete Bronze, Silver, and Gold sets for supported mastery Warlords.
Other notable additions include:
- Founder's Flame
- Bounty Gilded Crowned Quarry
- Animated Eye of the Storm
- Numerous corrected and upgraded Warlord designs
Sleeve artwork and class icons received additional visual review. Tier variants are now easier to distinguish, and sleeve effects can be previewed in the gallery.
Sleeves can be selected globally or assigned to individual decks.
Playmats Arrive in the War Room
Playmats are now a collectible War Room cosmetic.
Every collector receives the Classic Card Back playmat for free. It uses the familiar Warlord card-back artwork while preserving clear rank and battlefield boundaries.
Playmats can be:
- Set as your account default.
- Assigned to a particular deck.
- Previewed in your cosmetics collection.
- Displayed beneath the normal War Room ranks and cards.
The Diabolus Ryden Overlord reward now includes an animated playmat featuring living red flames around his hands and moving storm lightning. It uses a seamless animation loop with a reduced-motion fallback.
Collectors who had already defeated Diabolus Ryden were automatically credited with the playmat.
Overlord Conqueror Bundle
Defeating Diabolus Ryden with one of your own decks permanently unlocks the complete Overlord Conqueror bundle:
- Overlord Conqueror badge
- Animated Eye of the Storm sleeve
- Eye of the Storm d20
- Animated Diabolus Ryden playmat
- The right to command his force
Once the bundle has been earned, the unlock prompt is removed instead of continuing to advertise a reward you already own.
My War Room Cosmetics
Collectors now have a dedicated library for viewing their War Room cosmetics.
The collection includes separate sections for:
- Card Sleeves
- Dice
- Playmats
Each section provides:
- Available, Locked, and All filters.
- Ownership totals.
- Unlock descriptions and acquisition dates.
- Account-default selection.
- Accurate effect and animation previews.
- Full-size previews when an item is clicked.
Locked cosmetics can also be inspected so collectors can see what they are working toward.
Sleeves now display at their natural proportions instead of being incorrectly cropped, including the Classic Warlord card back.
Public Deck Challenges and Sharing
Every valid public deck can now be challenged in the War Room.
This includes decks that were originally private and later changed to public. Publishing a deck now automatically creates its stable share link and enables the associated public features.
Existing public decks missing older sharing information have also been repaired.
Public decks continue to support:
- Public deck pages
- Stable share links
- Community discovery
- Views and ratings
- War Room challenges
- Per-deck sleeve, die, and playmat choices
Rules Support
The public Rules Compendium is now available and has been integrated more deeply into the site.
War Room actions, rolls, card inspectors, and decision windows can provide contextual access to relevant rules. Forum tools were also improved to make rules discussions and references easier to create.
The goal is to make answers accessible without requiring players to leave a match and search through unrelated material.
New Promotional Cards
The catalog now includes additional promotional cards:
- Mair Haven
- Lord Barrow
- Steelforge Regalia
- Invoke the Storm
These cards are included in the appropriate catalog, deck-building, and War Room support systems.
Beta Tester Recognition
The Beta Tester program received expanded recognition and reward support.
Updates include:
- Beta Tester, Senior Beta Tester, and Head Beta Tester recognition.
- Badge display priority of Head Beta Tester, Senior Beta Tester, then Beta Tester.
- Automatic counting of eligible testing matches.
- Beta Vanguard rewards at 25, 50, and 100 completed qualifying matches.
- Founder's Flame recognition for eligible founding testers.
- Clearer testing periods, activity status, and program terms.
Community Recognition
Congratulations to TimCecil on being promoted to Senior Beta Tester!
TimCecil's continued testing, detailed reports, and contributions have helped improve the War Room for everyone. Thank you for the time and care you have put into supporting the project.
Founding Collector Reward Coming Soon
A new commemorative card sleeve and playmat are coming for the first 100 registered users of Warlord Collector.
These cosmetics will recognize the earliest collectors who joined the site and helped establish the community. We will reveal and add the finished designs soon.
Eligibility will be based on each account's original registration record, so qualifying collectors will not need to complete an additional challenge to receive them.
Looking Ahead
Our next priorities remain War Room accuracy, performance, and completing support for every card interaction. We are also continuing to expand meaningful collector rewards without compromising gameplay clarity.
Please keep sending bug reports and suggestions. Attached match diagnostics have been especially valuable because they allow us to reproduce exact game states and correct difficult card interactions much faster.
Thank you for helping build Warlord Collector and for being part of the community.
