A Reserved card may not begin the game in play.
How it works
Full rule
Reserved cards cannot be part of the starting army or otherwise start in play.

Example
A Reserved level 1 Character can be in the deck but not among the three starting level 1 Characters.

Reserved does not prevent the card from entering play later in the game.
