Resistance
Resistance hinders matching damage strikes and helps against matching damage actions.
How it works
Full rule
Strikes with the named damage type suffer disadvantage when targeting the resistant Character. That Character has advantage on skill checks caused by actions with the matching damage type.
At the table
Example
Fire Resistance imposes disadvantage on a Fire ranged strike and grants advantage on a save caused by a Fire action.
Watch for this
Common mistake
Resistance does not directly reduce wounds; it changes strike rolls and relevant checks.
