August 20, 2026
2 updates
- The War Room Lethal timing windows now inspect the discard pile only for the defeated card’s legal Death React. Ordinary Reacts such as Ghed Daucet’s Limited React cannot be offered or executed from discard, while true Death Reacts and Treyik’s explicit discard trigger remain available. Rules are saga-combat-engine-145 and the reviewed reaction queue is reviewed-reactions-20.
- Rewards The Overlord victory banner now displays the approved full Diabolus Ryden Overlord Conqueror medallion instead of the old generic storm-crown token. The badge, animated Eye of the Storm sleeve, and matching d20 now present the same permanent reward artwork used throughout the badge guide and collector showcase. War Room UI is 2026.08.20.1; rules remain saga-combat-engine-144.

2 updates
- Deck Builder Nisha and any other No Faction Warlord with the same printed ability now require one explicit faction before starting characters can be recruited. All five non-Warlord starters must share that faction, cross-game choices and mixed armies are rejected, and public deck filters display the saved identity.
- The War Room The saved faction becomes immutable match evidence and is applied before loyalty checks begin. Beginning a Nisha battle now opens one blocking pre-battle popup for zero, one, or two permanent class choices instead of skipping that ability when the faction was already known. Detection follows the printed No Faction Warlord ability family rather than a Nisha-only name check. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.15; rules are saga-combat-engine-144.

18 updates
- The War Room Nisha’s pregame faction choice now replaces her printed No Faction identity throughout loyalty checks. Characters matching the selected faction enter ready instead of incorrectly suffering the loyalty penalty. Private game-log pagination now uses the compact site controls instead of oversized browser-width SVG arrows. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.13; rules are saga-combat-engine-142.
- Rewards Memoriam now has the approved Ready Archive mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Memoriam as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, symbol-free approved archive sleeve, and matching Dwarven Forges archive-stone d20 bundle. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.12; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- The War Room The CPU now recognizes opposing Nightfire Manacles as a liability during the Rules Tome 302.7 equipment cleanup and normally destroys the Manacles instead of sacrificing a useful owned Weapon. Every legal controller choice remains available to players. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.11; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Kurak Stonejaw now has the approved Last Wall mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Kurak as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, exact approved cracked-gate card sleeve, and matching Dwarven Forges shield d20 bundle. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.10; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Cosmetics Church Enforcer Tancred, High Acolyte Hellene, Librarian Shastra, and Lord Belasco Bronze, Silver, and Gold d20s now fill their Dice Set Gallery previews at the established special-edition scale. Their exact approved artwork and transparent canvas remain unchanged; the oversized empty margins from the original exports have been removed. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.9; rules behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Grand Inventor Otto now has the approved Trapmaster’s Arsenal mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Otto as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, exact approved workshop card sleeve, and matching clockwork-lightning Dwarven Forges d20 bundle. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.8; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Church Enforcer Tancred, High Acolyte Hellene, Librarian Shastra, and Lord Belasco now have approved three-tier mastery paths. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with one of them as the starting Warlord permanently grants that Warlord’s Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, exact approved card sleeve, and matching d20 bundle. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.7; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Cosmetics The Card Sleeve Gallery, account and deck previews, and War Room face-down cards now distinguish generated color sleeves from approved artwork-backed sleeves. Bronze, Silver, and Gold mastery sleeves retain their catalog accent colors while displaying the exact checked-in artwork instead of a generic forged-diamond pattern. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.6; rules behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Nisha now has the approved Fatebound Wayfarer mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Nisha as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, all-faction-and-class card sleeve, and matching violet portal d20 bundle at each threshold.
- The War Room Nisha Fatebound Wayfarer d20s use a certified `nisha-fatebound-v1` twenty-face texture layout. The approved portal magic, faction shields, canonical class marks, and tier metalwork remain attached to physical faces throughout the roll. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.5; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Sklot the Cruel now has the approved Bomb King mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Sklot as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, six-bomb card sleeve, and matching Nothrog Legions d20 bundle at each threshold.
- The War Room Sklot Bomb King d20s use a certified `sklot-bomb-king-v1` twenty-face texture layout. The approved bomb-skulls, Nothrog crest, Rogue mark, green enamel, and tier metalwork remain attached to physical faces throughout the roll. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.4; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Commander Retsov now has the approved War Banner mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Retsov as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, red-banner-and-dragon card sleeve, and matching Mercenary Guilds d20 bundle at each threshold.
- The War Room Commander Retsov War Banner d20s use a certified `retsov-war-banner-v1` twenty-face texture layout. The approved red banner, dragon eye and scales, blue Mercenary Guilds panels, and tier metalwork remain attached to physical faces throughout the roll. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.3; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- The War Room Diabolus Ryden now retains the approved Eye of the Storm artwork and twenty-face texture from challenge setup through live rolls, saved-match reloads, and the Overlord Conqueror reward preview. Every official Into the Accordlands starter army now carries its faction-appropriate included d20 instead of ownerless CPU decks falling back to Classic Ivory. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.2; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.
- Rewards Annetta Yscar now has the approved Sacred Flight mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Annetta as the starting Warlord permanently grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, white-wolf-and-cranes card sleeve, and matching Free Kingdoms d20 bundle at each threshold.
- Community The badge guide now lets collectors display 10, 25, or 100 badges per page while preserving category, progress, and ownership filters.
- The War Room Annetta Sacred Flight d20s use their own reviewed twenty-face texture layout with the approved Free Kingdoms crest, tier metalwork, white wolf, and crane artwork attached to the physical die throughout the roll. War Room UI is 2026.08.19.1; saga-combat-engine-141 behavior is unchanged.

17 updates
- Rewards Rone of the Deepbrook now has an approved three-tier mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Rone as the starting Warlord grants the Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, flowing-water card sleeve, and matching Elven Branches d20 bundle at each threshold. Gorthos and Archivist Myrina badge text and progress displays now also consistently show their current 25/50/100 thresholds.
- The War Room Special-edition d20s now match their approved catalog skins at rest and carry corrected family artwork through physical rolls. Beta Vanguard restores the full canonical class-symbol treatment, Archivist Myrina uses her actual purple, green, jeweled, and Deverenian artwork instead of generic blue material, and Eye of the Storm plus Gorthos use corrected numbered, emblem, and signature regions without leaking sample numerals into other faces.
- The War Room Every active d20 now carries a reviewed, versioned twenty-face texture layout. Standard, Beta Vanguard, Eye of the Storm, Archivist Myrina, and Gorthos materials remain attached to the same numbered physical faces throughout the roll and landing instead of reassigning a hero face or swapping to flat artwork at the end.
- The War Room Eye of the Storm now uses its approved vortex relic design in the true twenty-face dice system. Blackened engraved metal, violet storm faces, red gemstones, and canonical Deverenian tower-lightning emblems rotate with the physical die, while the server-owned result replaces the artwork sample number when it lands.
- The War Room All floating d20 sparkle particles have been removed from Standard and special-edition dice. Physical rolling, contact shadows, approved materials, and authoritative results remain unchanged.
- The War Room Classic Ivory and the six included color d20s no longer display floating sparkle particles, including on a natural 20. Every catalog die now remains particle-free while retaining its approved face textures and themed material.
- The War Room True d20 rolls now follow a physical launch, gravity-driven impact, three diminishing rebounds, lateral travel, friction, angular damping, contact wobble, and a moving floor shadow instead of spinning at one fixed point. The themed surface travels with the die body, the server result remains authoritative, and reduced motion still lands immediately.
- The War Room Gorthos mastery d20s now map their approved shadowfire, engraved tier-metal frame, Dwarven emblem panels, and axe treatment directly onto the independently rotating physical faces. The roll therefore keeps the same visual identity as the approved resting die instead of becoming a generic bright-green d20, and the former floating green particles have been removed. Archivist Myrina retains its face-bound archive material.
- The War Room Archivist Myrina and Gorthos mastery d20s now settle into their exact approved full-die artwork after completing the real twenty-face tumble. The authoritative result replaces the sample numeral in the artwork itself, preserving the approved axe, shadowfire, archive, faction, tier, and metalwork details without changing RNG or match state.
- The War Room Special-edition true d20s now reserve one signature result face for their defining identity instead of repeating large artwork across every triangle. Beta Vanguard, Eye of the Storm, Archivist Myrina, and Gorthos dice keep quieter numbered faces, restrained seams, readable results, and family-specific ambient sparks or energy while included-color dice remain unchanged.
- The War Room Live rolls and the Dice Tray now use the same true twenty-face d20 geometry and approved Standard, Beta, Overlord, Myrina, or Gorthos material stored in the match snapshot. Physical faces tumble through the existing number cycle and land on the server result; reduced motion lands immediately, compact history stays readable, and the certified two-dimensional die remains visible if canvas enhancement is unavailable.
- The War Room Artwork-backed mastery d20s now place the authoritative result on the correct physical face. Gorthos dice no longer leave their sample 20 visible beneath another result, and the presentation-only numbers continue cycling at a smaller size on that face while the die tumbles before the forced or server result lands.
- Rewards Gorthos, Shadow's Axe now has a permanent three-tier mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Gorthos as the starting Warlord grants the approved Rage Below the Forges Bronze, Silver, and Gold card sleeve and matching Dwarven Forges d20 bundle at each threshold. Previously earned permanent rewards remain owned.
- Badges Badge detail pages now display every permanent reward granted with that achievement. Founding Beta Tester shows its sleeve, Overlord Conqueror shows its sleeve, d20, and command access, and each Archivist Myrina tier shows its matching sleeve and die with live ownership status.
- Reliability Archivist Myrina badge and profile progress now fail closed during a rolling deployment until the additive reward migration is available, preventing a pending production migration from taking collector pages offline. Exact earned progress returns automatically as soon as migrations complete.
- Rewards Archivist Myrina now has a permanent three-tier mastery path. Completing 25, 50, and 100 War Room matches with Myrina as the starting Warlord grants the approved Bronze, Silver, and Gold badge, card sleeve, and matching Deverenian d20 bundle at each threshold. Existing completed matches are honored when their original starting formation can still be verified, and previously earned permanent rewards remain owned.
- Messages Exact Courier message, status-history, and Staff-note timestamps now display in the collector’s browser timezone instead of raw UTC. Relative labels remain relative, and hovering them reveals the precise local date, time, and timezone.

22 updates
- Messages Courier previews, replies, new conversations, and account-synced drafts now accept the same safe Markdown links and prose as forum posts without Apache mistaking them for PHP or command syntax. The exception remains limited to the message body on exact authenticated Courier routes.
- Reliability Production cache and route rate limiting now use local Redis instead of the MySQL cache table, preventing simultaneous Courier and War Room polling from creating database cache deadlocks.
- Messages Accordlands Courier now uses the same rich writing tools as the forums, including formatting buttons, card, rule, deck, mention, and emoji search, keyboard shortcuts, character and reading-time counts, and a true rendered preview. Private image uploads remain visible only to conversation members, and remote Markdown images remain blocked in messages. Courier messages and drafts now support up to 20,000 characters.
- Card Catalog The Into the Accordlands promo checklist now includes Steelforge Regalia ITA-P34 and Invoke the Storm ITA-P35 with their collector-supplied card images. Existing high-quality Griffon of Andover ITA-P38 and Curse of Greed ITA-P39 records and artwork remain unchanged.
- Rules Every card on the main Rules Compendium can now reveal its complete rule inline without leaving the overview. The dedicated entry remains one click away for table examples, common mistakes, related rules, and matching cards.
- Bug Tracker Every submitted bug now enters a private Staff publication queue automatically. Reports remain private until Staff writes and publishes a sanitized issue, links the report to an existing public issue, or records why public disclosure would be unsafe; resolving a report now requires that explicit decision plus completed severity and reproduction review.
- The War Room Grave Exchange recovery choices now survive every live battlefield refresh and automatically reopen the discard pile for each Character earned by its lethal strikes. A defensive Rules drawer fallback also prevents a stale application worker from interrupting the chooser while a deployment is rolling forward.
- Staff Operations Unexpected-error notices now give Staff a privacy-bounded diagnostic ID, request path, route, user ID, exception chain, root cause, safe message, Blade view, and application-only trace. Request bodies, query strings, headers, cookies, session values, and sensitive exception messages remain excluded.
- Card Catalog The Into the Accordlands promo checklist now includes the grayscale Mair Haven ITA-P53 and Lord Barrow ITA-P57 printings, each with its collector-provided card image and existing rules identity preserved.
- The War Room Resolved strike, save, feat-check, and initiative presentations now keep bounded links to the exact dice and mechanic rulings beside their final verdict. Inspecting a visible card also offers references for its printed actions, feats, keywords, and strike language without exposing concealed cards or changing match resolution.
- The War Room Current decisions, React windows, and public card-effect announcements now show compact links to the exact governing Rules Compendium entries. The references come only from the current server-approved command, trigger, and visible printed text, open without leaving the saved match, and never alter legal choices or effect resolution.
- The War Room A compact Rules drawer now opens over the battlefield without shrinking the playmat. It highlights references for the current phase, searches the complete Rules Compendium, opens rulings without leaving the saved match, and includes a mobile-friendly printable table reference.
- Forums Forum writers can now search the Rules Compendium from a dedicated Rule tool and insert an exact stable reference without memorizing Markdown or a URL. Linked rules show a viewport-safe Tome summary on hover or keyboard focus, while ordinary words, unknown rule paths, external links, and existing card references remain unchanged.
- Rules The public Rules Compendium now provides searchable, linkable references for core match rules plus all 11 feats and 19 keywords from Comprehensive Rules Tome 2.0.8. Every entry includes a plain-language rule, table example, common mistake, related reading, matching card search, and an explicit War Room automation label; catalog cards link their indexed mechanics directly to the reference.
- The War Room Squire Fendric now applies his primary ATK to the optional melee strike granted after his Limited Order movement. Medical Kit places its Medicine action directly on the equipped Item while its bearer makes the check, and Diabolus Ryden now brings the animated Eye of the Storm sleeve and matching d20 into every new Overlord battle.
- The War Room Every committed effect that asks for a card from a public discard pile now opens the correct pile automatically, highlights only legal cards, and places the signed choice directly beside each eligible card. Ward characters are omitted from opposing non-strike spell and React targets, while spell actions that produce a strike retain the Rules Tome exception.
- The War Room Grave Exchange now removes old wounds and counters from a recovered Character, enforces normal level-rank placement, formation shape, loyalty, Unique, and late-Warlord rules, and grants one recovery for each Character its two strikes actually banish. The public discard pile opens automatically with only legal Characters and entry positions selectable. Every card leaving play now clears wounds and counters as required by the Rules Tome.
- Beta Testing Accepted Beta Tester agreements now remain valid after MySQL stores their evidence snapshot. Agreement checks use canonical JSON content instead of database key order, and acceptances already submitted under the earlier order-sensitive checksum are recognized without requiring another click.
- Beta Testing The verified owner account now records the same current Beta Tester agreement before entering the Beta Tester Hub or War Room. The checkpoint does not restrict owner administration elsewhere on the site, and other Staff accounts retain diagnostic access for tester support and battle recovery.
- The War Room Brinewater Croc now grants adjacent Sutek a complete signed Limited strike choice instead of crashing automatic continuation and every later battlefield reload. Malformed optional strike contracts fail closed, and a post-hit spend or movement effect no longer claims to affect a Character already defeated by that strike.
- The War Room Defeating Diabolus Ryden with a deck you own now earns the permanent Overlord Conqueror bundle: a relic profile badge, the approved animated Eye of the Storm card sleeve, a matching stormfire d20, and command access to the Igniting the Storm Overlord force. Existing verified victories are honored automatically; borrowed-deck wins and matches where the collector commands Diabolus do not qualify.
- Beta Testing Accepting the required Beta Tester Terms no longer shares the five-per-hour contact and support form limit. A tester can correct an unchecked confirmation or other validation mistake and submit the valid agreement immediately instead of being returned to a locked terms gate.

- Beta Testing Creating a dated Beta period now has a Staff-only native POST fallback when Livewire is unavailable, preventing the schedule from being placed in the browser URL and discarded. The Beta Tester Hub now displays the complete period beginning, ending, and application cutoff in UTC.
- Beta Testing The Staff Beta-period editor now visibly retains its period name, beginning, ending, enrollment cutoff, and inactivity schedule. Creating or reopening a dated period can no longer present blank controls that silently replace the loaded schedule during submission.
- Beta Testing Published testing goals now count every qualifying Beta Tester match automatically as soon as the match is completed inside the assignment window. Staff-accepted reports still count without duplicating the same match, and testers can continue sharing findings after reaching the numeric goal.
- Beta Testing The Beta Tester program now recognizes three participation levels: Beta Tester, Senior Beta Tester, and Head Beta Tester. Every admitted collector begins as a Beta Tester; only the owner can award or remove Senior and Head recognition, and these titles never grant Staff or administrative permissions.
- Beta Testing Current Beta Testers now review and accept the complete versioned agreement once before returning to the War Room, Beta Tester Hub, assignments, or private War Council. Their tag, permanent rewards, decks, reports, and saved matches remain unchanged while acceptance is pending, and Staff retain diagnostic access.
- Beta Testing Beta applications now include complete versioned War Room Beta Tester Terms covering private testing, conduct, responsible disclosure, diagnostics, rewards, feedback, unfinished-software expectations, automatic inactivity removal, and future amendments. Staff may revise clauses as the program changes, but every revision receives a new version and the exact agreement a collector previously accepted remains preserved.
- The War Room Jubilant Hatchling and every other defeated card now receive one Death React window for one death. A completed Attack summary can no longer repeat the final strike's Kill, Death, or after-strike Reacts after that timing has already closed.
- The War Room Igniting the Storm now sends every failed Dexterity check through normal wound prevention, dying, Death React, formation repair, and end-turn continuation. Characters defeated by the Challenge rule can resolve their printed death effects before the next turn begins.
- Beta Testing Each War Room Beta period can now have its own public name, beginning, ending, enrollment cutoff, inactivity schedule, and Staff-selected end behavior. Applications automatically close at the cutoff or ending, private tools respect scheduled availability, and permanent rewards, decks, reports, and saved matches remain preserved when a period closes.

- Beta Testing Beta Testers receive a private activity check-in and a separate final notice according to the schedule Staff sets for the current Beta period. A qualifying match, accepted assignment, usable War Room report, Staff grace extension, or Staff cancellation stops removal. If the configured response window expires unchanged, only private Beta access is paused, while the collector account, rewards, decks, reports, and saved matches remain stored for a reversible Staff regrant.
- The War Room Saved battles now restart safe automatic CPU and pass-only timing after a presentation boundary or page reload. End-of-turn formation repair and its React windows can no longer leave an Overlord battle waiting indefinitely when no player decision is available.
- Dispatches The Staff Dispatch editor now includes a responsive Chronicle preview for unsaved titles, summaries, Markdown, remote images, feature artwork, publication state, byline, reading time, and call-to-action buttons. Saved drafts retain the exact full-page private preview for final desktop and mobile review.
- Dispatches Dispatch article bodies and private Staff previews now support standard HTTPS Markdown images through the same privacy-safe first-party proxy used by the forums. Remote JPEG, PNG, and WebP sources are validated, re-encoded, cached privately, and displayed as responsive clickable Chronicle artwork without contacting the source host from a reader's browser.
- Forums Forum topics and replies now support standard HTTPS Markdown images. Every remote JPEG, PNG, or WebP is fetched through a bounded first-party proxy, checked against private-network destinations and unsafe redirects, stripped of metadata, converted to WebP, cached locally, and displayed responsively without exposing readers to the source host.

- The War Room Into the Accordlands certification now executes the remaining 30 direct behavior contracts: eight targeted-state Orders plus 22 static, aura, attachment, and deck-construction identities. The gate proves target scope, temporary state, token details, live rank and adjacency boundaries, equipment cleanup, and source-removal cleanup; Woestone now correctly gives disadvantage to its equipped Character, and Leopard Claws always uses that Character's lowest printed base ATK.
- The War Room Into the Accordlands certification now executes 39 combat and timing contracts covering 21 React identities, 13 strike identities, and five save or check identities. Each contract verifies its printed trigger, legal target profile, roll behavior, and resulting state change; Solar Ray and Essence Drain are also restored as playable hand Actions with their correct Undead wound and failed-save wound outcomes.
- The War Room High-risk Into the Accordlands certification now executes the actual outcomes for Earthen Embrace, Revitalizing Roots, Scepter of Djarat, seven printed movement cards, and Premonition Pendant. Revitalizing Roots now uses ordered battlefield selection for up to three wounded characters, preserving the chosen resolution order required by the Rules Tome.
- The War Room Into the Accordlands certification now freezes direct card-level behavior evidence for the 80 numbered identities that previously depended only on shared resolver-family coverage. Each row records its exact Order or React resolver, signed interaction contract, continuous consumer, and governing Rules Tome boundary, so silent targeting, movement, hidden-zone, strike, or timing drift places certification on hold.
- The War Room Survey now offers all six legal arrangements for the top two cards: either card may remain alone on top, both may stay on top in either order, or both may move to the bottom in either order. The private choice clearly shows the exact top-to-bottom sequence, while Rules Tome certification now executes and counts Survey outcomes instead of accepting method names alone.
- The War Room Press the Attack and Crimson Diadem now use ordered battlefield target selection. Choose any number of highlighted legal Characters, see the exact resolution order before confirming, and submit without the former six-target ceiling; the server revalidates every unique target, and Press the Attack no longer offers front-rank Fighters that cannot move forward.
- The War Room Kurak Stonejaw now applies his exact Defend exception: every friendly Dwarven Forges Character counts as adjacent for his check, he may attempt it twice per turn, and a success redirects only when Kurak was also a legal original target. True Strike and other cannot-redirect strikes correctly suppress Defend.
- The War Room Viscous Goo now preserves both parts of its printed rule. Any Sutek may perform its +5 ranged Spend Order without spending—even while already spent—but the Action still counts as a completed Spend Order for effects such as Sister Amanda. Non-Sutek casters still pay the normal spend cost, and stunned Characters still cannot perform it.

18 updates
- The War Room Charisma and Marksmanship now follow their exact Rules Tome 2.0.8 timing. Charisma appears only before a real pending die roll, while Marksmanship is chosen for one exact non-spell ranged strike before its target is committed; the check immediately continues that bound strike and can no longer leak a bonus into a later action.
- The War Room The ITA rules certification now includes all 25 Into the Accordlands promo printings and the four runtime token snapshots, uses the correct Tome sections 603.2–603.12 for every feat, and requires executable runtime evidence instead of accepting a card name from a plain identity list as proof of support.
- The War Room ITA token rules now match Rules Tome 2.0.8. Animal is a level 2 Good Mercenary Guilds Classless Beast with +2 physical ATK, Stormlord requires its Deverenian Empire end-turn kill, generated Shields and Traps obey normal Item equip restrictions and replacement choices, tokens disappear after leaving play, and legal token placement can extend beyond rank 3.
- The War Room Ranged strikes now use only the bonus printed for that ranged strike plus effects that explicitly modify the strike or its roll. A Character’s melee ATK, equipped Item ATK, temporary ATK, and ATK auras no longer inflate ranged attacks, matching Rules Tome 2.0.8.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard d20s now place BETA higher and 2026 lower on the die face, keeping both reward marks readable around the large result throughout animated rolls. Bronze, Silver, and Gold share the corrected spacing.
- Dispatches The Chronicle archive can now be searched by title, article text, summary, or author and filtered by report category, with filters preserved while paging. Staff can select one deliberate featured story, schedule that feature safely before release, and review publication queue, readiness, views, replies, averages, and the most-read Dispatch from the admin workspace.
- Dispatches Staff Dispatch editing now includes a live publication-readiness checklist, paired and safety-checked call-to-action fields, and one-click private previews for drafts and scheduled articles. Private previews use the real article renderer without publishing the Dispatch, exposing comment controls, or increasing its view total.
- Dispatches The Accordlands Chronicle now uses a unified Warlord field-report design across the homepage, Dispatch archive, recent entries, and article reader. Heraldic category colors, bounded headlines, clearer reading metadata, compact artwork, and mobile-aware layouts keep the news readable without letting a long title consume the first screen.
- The War Room Card-sleeve artwork now uses a content fingerprint everywhere it appears. Profile, Deck Details, reward progress, Staff previews, and current or saved battles immediately load newly approved sleeve art instead of allowing an older browser-cached image to remain under the same catalog filename.
- Dispatches Staff can now upload an original JPEG, PNG, or WebP feature image for a Dispatch, add required accessible alt text, preview or crop it in the editor, and retain catalog card artwork as an automatic fallback. Custom artwork keeps suitable editorial proportions on the homepage, Chronicle, archive, and article social preview.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard Bronze, Silver, and Gold sleeves and d20s now use all five authoritative Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, Wizard, and Classless symbols from the official Warlord reference. The six official faction emblems are also preserved as reusable reference assets.
- The War Room Spent battlefield cards now receive their full sideways footprint before the rank lays out adjacent cards, preventing rotated faces from overlapping or being cut off. Beta Vanguard dice also keep transparent corners during animated rolls instead of casting a square black background.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard class symbols now blend into their Bronze, Silver, and Gold d20 faces as soft tier-colored silhouettes. The pale sleeve medallion backgrounds have been removed while the approved class artwork remains visible.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard Bronze, Silver, and Gold d20 previews now stay contained at the same compact size as every other die. Their sleeve-derived class symbols can no longer bleed across Deck Details or Profile in Firefox.
- The War Room Spent and stunned Characters now turn physically on the battlefield instead of relying only on a status label. Spent cards rotate sideways, stunned cards turn fully around, and their compact battlefield spaces expand so the complete card remains visible while its action controls stay upright.
- The War Room Battlefield card action wheels now survive repeated live-state refresh events. Clicking a card during or after the opponent’s turn can no longer leave a visible action button disconnected from its wheel and force a page refresh.
- Beta Testing Beta Vanguard match rewards now include an approved matching d20 at every sleeve milestone. Beta Testers permanently earn Bronze after 25 qualifying completed matches, Silver after 50, and Gold after 100; existing progress is honored automatically and Staff receive all three tiers.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard dice use the exact four class silhouettes from their matching sleeves, show BETA above the result and 2026 below it, and celebrate a natural 20 with a tier-colored numeral and sparkle treatment. Reduced-motion preferences keep the celebration static.

12 updates
- The War Room Earned dice now use a durable entitlement ledger with complete grant and revocation history. Staff can review the full dice catalog, create an approved earned definition, grant or revoke it from a collector, and see ownership totals without allowing any cosmetic value to influence random results.
- The War Room Characters made lethal by losing a continuous HP bonus are now defeated immediately. Removing adjacent Tunnel Vanguards can no longer leave a fully wounded survivor occupying the battlefield at 0 HP.
- The War Room Myerdeth Mare and other attached Items with an unqualified movement Order now use their attached Character automatically and proceed directly to the normal highlighted destination chooser.
- The War Room Spent battlefield cards keep their full artwork upright and readable inside the card frame. A clear Spent badge and muted treatment preserve the game state without rotating and clipping the image.
- The War Room Bikram Bullstrength now adds the melee strike earned by his Kill React to the Attack already in progress. The new strike remains available whether the kill came from his first printed strike or his original final strike, and the completed Attack is recorded only after every earned strike and React window closes.
- The War Room Opening a battlefield card or equipped-Item action wheel no longer hides the current decision and priority controls. The wheel now stays below the decision dock, preserves the exact selected card identity, and clears stale open-wheel state after a live battlefield refresh.
- The War Room Every collector now receives Classic Ivory plus six forged-color d20 sets. Choose an account default from Profile Appearance or a deck-specific override from Deck Details; each battle snapshots both commanders’ choices so initiative, attacks, saves, and skill checks always display the die owned by the Character making the roll.
- The War Room The War Room now keeps a durable campaign ledger showing total battles played, completed battles, unique commanders, and collectors currently on an open battlefield. Every collector can see aggregate activity and their own record, while the named commander roster remains visible only to Staff; removing a saved battle no longer erases its historical participation.
- The War Room Another Tavern Brawl is now legal only when its caster can perform the mandatory follow-up melee strike. Recruit can no longer spend the Action through an out-of-range Character and end after only the opponent-selected strike; mandatory generated-strike choices across the Saga card pool now require a real defender before they are offered.
- The War Room Generated strikes now roll automatically after their target, costs, and React window are settled. Crownland Strategist and every other supported Order keep the full centered dice result without requiring a redundant Roll attack click.
- The War Room Limited Reacts now share one universal per-turn gate at both the visible reaction queue and the locked command boundary. Ghed Daucet and every other supported Character, Item, Action, and feat can no longer be offered or replayed beyond its printed limit, while explicit exceptions such as Master Dresden retain their reviewed additional use.
- The War Room Server-confirmed card announcements now advance automatically without a redundant Continue button. Orders, Reacts, equipment, deployments, revealed cards, and other card results remain visible as short presentation beats and can still be skipped early with Escape or a click outside.

- The War Room Every Cleric and Wizard spell now publishes one completed-cast identity on the spell’s actual resolution event. Lord Barrow, Lord’s Assailant, Luthlarius Regalia, Kaballite Regalia, High Acolyte Hellene, and Nehil can therefore react after ordinary Orders, multi-step strike spells, movement spells, and React Actions without hiding simultaneous strike or movement Reacts. Divine Barrier and Final Farewell also cast correctly from hand through their targeted or defeated Character.
- The War Room Sister Amanda now receives her Limited Spend React after a Free Kingdoms Character completes any supported Spend Order, including multi-step strike Orders. The completed effect retains its exact performer through strike and reaction timing, and the printed unqualified target may belong to either player.
- The War Room Hrun Instigator now offers his Limited Order only when he can perform its mandatory follow-up melee strike. His controller chooses the opposing Character within one rank, then that Character’s controller chooses the legal defender for the first strike before control returns to Hrun for his advantage strike.
- The War Room The single Recruit CPU now evaluates short tactical sequences before choosing its next Order. Under strict depth, node, and time limits it can preserve buff-then-attack, equip-then-attack, and legal move-then-strike plans, avoids spending setup resources without a payoff, and forecasts only on a detached battle-state clone before submitting one normal server-approved command.
- The War Room First-match guidance now explains priority, highlighted legal choices, the current phase, and recovery controls directly inside Table Tools. The War Room landing page also introduces a new collector through their first battle without requiring a separate rules page.
- The War Room The battlefield now receives more of the visible table while the complete hand and all card controls remain usable. Match info, recentering, Dice, and Feed stay immediately available; infrequent pan, zoom, focus, fullscreen, sound, and motion controls now live in one compact Table Tools panel.
- The War Room Guided choices now keep the acting card and every legal target or formation destination fully lit and plainly labeled while unrelated battlefield cards recede. The Effect Resolution tracker also uses a shorter command tier on desktop and a compact progress strip on phones so an active choice no longer crowds out the playmat.
- The War Room Multi-stage attacks, Reacts, movement, card choices, rolls, and formation repair now share one persistent Effect Resolution tracker. It keeps the visible source and target beside a four-stage progress path, identifies the current decision, explains what happens next, and retains the latest public result between specialized overlays without revealing hidden opponent cards.
- The War Room The Recruit CPU now makes tactical redraws, compares strikes by actual hit and defeat odds, prioritizes ready high-threat enemies, and lets useful printed movement compete with other Orders. It also preserves utility equipment, favors appropriate weapon and defensive hosts, and refuses reviewed state changes that would do nothing.
- The War Room A successful Charisma React now applies its chosen advantage or disadvantage to the pending strike even when that strike began with no roll override. Fatestring Bow and every other printed strike now retain the mode through the reaction window, roll both visible d20s, and keep the correct die.
- The War Room The Recruit CPU no longer wastes Cunning Shot on a Character already spent in rank 1, where its no-wound strike could neither spend nor move the target. It still values ready first-rank targets and spent rear-rank targets when the printed hit effect can change the battlefield.
- The War Room War Room commands now use one bounded request schema and one authoritative server-rebuilt legal choice from submission through resolution. Unknown nested fields and oversized selections are rejected before logging, repeated command-list rebuilds have been removed, and the retired Diabolus-only Magic Missiles shortcut is gone while the current seven-strike flow remains unchanged.
- Site Reliability The forum Markdown parser and its utility dependency have been updated to patched releases after a production dependency audit. Composer now reports no known security advisories.
- The War Room Mandatory multi-strike Orders now state the exact completed count when the changing battlefield leaves no legal target for the remainder. This includes Mair Haven after a one-strike Marksmanship range bonus expires: her second +2 ranged strike may attack the same Character, but only if that Character remains a legal ranged target.

- Forums Community Forums now uses the selected Accordlands Hub design: a Warlord-art welcome banner, visual forum-room cards, cleaner active-discussion rows, a personal War Table rail, and a private Beta War Council destination. Category, topic, writing, alert, permission, and moderation behavior remains intact across desktop and mobile.
- Site Reliability Long forum updates, previews, replies, edits, and private draft synchronization now pass through a host-, route-, method-, and field-scoped production firewall policy. Ordinary Markdown phrases such as “Set Progress” no longer produce an Apache 403, while unrelated request fields and firewall protections remain active.
- The War Room The complete current Saga card pool now passes a second interaction audit in addition to exact rules-text certification. All 353 Into the Accordlands identities and all 316 deployed printed Order or React lines must use an event-bound React window, signed target or target group, staged movement or hidden-zone choice, reviewed compound sequence, or public roll; any future legacy one-click path now fails release certification. Every supported printed strike Order, including strike branches produced by Roll Orders, stages the normal centered roll presentation for a human player.
- The War Room Veteran Bowman now has a card-specific certified Spend Order flow. Choosing the Order highlights every legal defender exactly two ranks away, spends Bowman only after a signed target is submitted, opens both printed Marksmanship result choices in the standard React window, displays the DC 20 skill check, and then hands the +3 ranged strike to the normal centered roll presentation.
- The War Room Squire Fendric’s payment step now turns each legal same-rank Character into one complete highlighted selection surface and temporarily removes its action wheel, including when Fendric pays his own cost. Against a two-HP target, the Recruit CPU now uses only one of Cleave or Rockarm because either makes a normal hit lethal; it will not spend both for a wasteful third wound.
- The War Room Retreat from the Roil, Shield of Spurning, Cunning Shot, and Tide Turner now pause on every forced move so the effect controller can choose the exact highlighted insertion slot. Their interrupted save, strike, movement React, and formation-repair timing resumes afterward; Tide Turner also spends its caster, not the Action card, when its optional two-rank result is chosen.
- The War Room The completed guided-choice rewrite now has a certification contract for every compound Into the Accordlands Order. Each card must explicitly declare its signed opening target and every later roll, movement, hidden-card, effect-pair, opponent, or strike decision; an unclassified resolver can no longer enter the supported rules registry.
- The War Room Griffon of Andover and movement Reacts from Anacaona, Ardian Greathawk, Mo’can, Bear Legion Recruit, Trogid, Swivel, and Birdsong Druid now pause for an exact highlighted Journey or forward destination instead of silently taking the server’s first legal position. The interrupted React and formation-repair timing resume after that choice.
- The War Room Hod’s Legacy now presents its two printed abilities separately: its Spend Order can select every lower-level non-stunned same-faction Character, while its ordinary Order unstuns only a legal stunned Character. The interface also distinguishes an Order with an Item-spend cost from a true Spend Order.
- The War Room Squire Fendric’s Limited Order now follows one guided battlefield sequence: highlight and choose the ready same-rank Character paying its Spend cost, choose Fendric’s exact forward destination with the normal movement overlay, then choose any legal melee defender or decline the optional strike.
- The War Room Optional follow-up strikes such as Squire Fendric’s move-and-strike now accept every displayed defender and the explicit decline. The signed strike sequence is preserved through the browser request, preventing these choices from trapping a match in an unfinishable decision.
- Collections Set Progress is now a first-class collection workspace. Direct header and summary links open an always-visible era dashboard where every set shows card and master completion, all four variant totals, and immediate missing, owned-card, and catalog actions without collapsed shelves.
- Collections Saga collection progress now contains exactly Into the Accordlands and Into the Accordlands: Promos. Every older release is classified as Ancient and challenge or oddball releases remain Special; the same exact boundary now protects Saga deck browsing, saved-deck validation, set labels, and collection achievements.
- Collections Set Progress variant panels now use a readable two-column layout with separated names and totals, impossible variants show a non-clickable Not available state, and active collections appear before untouched or completed sets. Checklist-card totals and master-printing totals are explained separately, while summary tiles now open the matching collection checklist instead of an unrelated set page.
- Collections Large collections now open with bounded database work. Completion percentages are calculated from compact set-level aggregates instead of loading every catalog printing, collection totals share one scan, tracked-set filters no longer hydrate every owned card, and paginated cards reuse their authorized collection instead of issuing one lookup per card.
- Card Catalog The Into the Accordlands master setlist now reflects that the full-art printings of Church Enforcer Tancred, Memoriam, Tazian Dythanus, Adathan Celestial Messenger, Alrayn Gaunt, and Vactus Spirit’s Champion were not produced as foils. Their normal full-art cards remain available.
- The War Room Command the Overlord is now an earned battle mode. A collector must first defeat that published Overlord challenge using a deck they own; victories earned with borrowed or community-published decks do not qualify. Staff retain unconditional access for testing and support.
- The War Room Diabolus Ryden’s Burnt Offering now resolves in its printed order. After a failed Reflex save actually kills its first-rank target, Ryden’s controller receives a private signed choice containing every Character in hand plus an explicit decline; the chosen Character enters the exact former location and permanently gains Stormwraith.
- The War Room Collectors can now command the official Igniting the Storm Overlord force themselves against any legal army they own or any army intentionally published to the community shelf. The reversed challenge preserves Diabolus Ryden’s fixed formation, ten-card hand, discard recycling, Overlord defeat condition, special Orders, and end-turn Storm pressure while the Recruit CPU commands the selected rival.
- The War Room Mair Haven now presents the opponent’s top three cards in a private top-to-bottom ordering chooser. The chosen order is applied before the first +2 ranged strike, and the same Spend Order advances automatically into its required second strike when a legal defender remains.
- The War Room Sleight of Hand now highlights and selects the exact opposing equipped Item on the battlefield, including keyboard and touch controls. A spent Character still receives this Limited Order from Teufeltiger’s Shroud, and the result chooser clearly identifies the selected equipment.
- The War Room Nightfire Manacles now recognizes itself as the newly equipped Item, opens its printed Spend React, and lets its controller move the spent Manacles to an opposing Character within two ranks while ignoring level requirements.
- The War Room Beta Vanguard and other illustrated reward sleeves now preserve their authored portrait orientation on hidden hands and deck piles. Reward art is shown completely instead of inheriting the rotated crop used only by the classic landscape Warlord back.
- The War Room Nehil now follows every part of its printed React: it readies only its attached character after that character spends to cast a level 1 or 2 Cleric or Wizard spell. Free casts, non-spell Actions, higher-level spells, spent Nehil copies, and other casters no longer qualify.
- The War Room Spell-triggered Reacts now distinguish Cleric and Wizard Actions from classless, Fighter, and Rogue Actions. Kaballite Regalia correctly opens after Charm Person and other modifier spells, while Meet at the Inn and other non-spell Actions no longer trigger it.
- Beta Testing Staff accounts now receive all three Beta Vanguard sleeves automatically. Existing Staff receive Bronze, Silver, and Gold during deployment, and collectors promoted to Staff receive the complete reward set immediately without altering their Beta match totals.
August 9, 2026
14 updates
- Beta Testing Beta Vanguard is now a permanent three-tier War Room reward. Beta Testers earn the Bronze sleeve after 25 qualifying completed matches, Silver after 50, and Gold after 100; the private Beta Hub shows live progress and existing Beta Vanguard owners keep grandfathered Bronze access.
- Forums Forum writing now matches the approved War Table design across new topics, replies, edits, and private drafts. The compact primary toolbar keeps advanced formatting in a More tray, image uploads live inside the editor, preview and validation states are clearer, filtered and empty discussions offer useful next actions, and pagination stays compact on desktop and phones.
- Forums Forum discussions now use the approved War Table reading layout: compact topic details and watch controls, clear original and accepted-answer borders, quieter post actions, complete author identity, and a focused reply editor that collapses cleanly on phones.
- Forums Accordlands Hall now opens directly on active discussions and compact forum rooms instead of a large promotional hero. The new War Table shell combines forum navigation, search, and topic creation without covering content, while category pages use shorter headers, quieter rows, and responsive layouts with no page-level horizontal scrolling.
- Forums Forum topics, replies, edits, previews, and private account-synced drafts now support up to 20,000 characters, with the Markdown composer and live counter using the same shared limit.
- The War Room Charm Person now removes the affected Character’s Attack Order for the rest of the turn. Riposte presents its required skill check before its generated strike, and every Trap save receives a fresh centered roll even when the same Character is targeted again.
- The War Room Recruit CPU players no longer cast Fateshift to reduce an opposing Character’s incoming wounds or grant it the revealed card’s Armor Class bonus. Fateshift remains rules-legal on either side for human players, while the CPU now reserves this beneficial React for its own Characters.
- The War Room Orders that generate attacks or strikes now pause for their controller to choose every legal defender instead of silently using the first one. This includes Pack Tactics, Bolt of Unrest, Press the Attack, Squire Fendric, The Mighty Mugg, Warboss Azh’Kal, Another Tavern Brawl, and ordinary Epic Donnybrook results; optional printed strikes can be declined explicitly.
- The War Room Trap now follows the official cancellation timing when its Reflex-save wound defeats a declared attacker. The pending strike stops before its roll, remaining strikes from that Character’s attack do not occur, paid costs remain paid, and already-resolved effects remain in place.
- The War Room Shadow Bolts and other mandatory compound strike Orders now keep their original performer automatically and open the current target-card chooser for each remaining strike. Advantage and disadvantage presentations reserve room for both rolled d20s, identify each die, and clearly mark the automatically kept result.
- The War Room Glaciate and every reviewed card-specific save path now publish the saving Character, both dice when modifiers require them, complete roll math, DC, and pass or fail result. Sunforge Smith now distinguishes stunned and unstunned targets and lets its controller choose the exact legal defender for the required melee strike.
- The War Room Sleep now uses the current signed card-picker flow after its Wizard is chosen. The picker permits exactly one level-2 Character or two level-1 Characters, prevents combinations that cannot produce a legal command, and explains the DC 13 magic saves before confirmation.
- The War Room Magic Missiles now completes every one of its caster-level strikes. Each missile receives its own target and React timing, and remaining missiles can choose a new legal target when an earlier strike defeats the original Character.
- The War Room Swift and other Journey Actions now expose their server-approved movement choices from the hand Play button, including legal spent Rogue casters and every valid forward or backward destination.

9 updates
- Challenge Decks Diabolus Ryden now refuses to spend Quick Strength improving an opposing attacker, visibly presents every Burnt Offering Reflex save, and strongly prefers an opposing first-rank victim with a Ghed follow-up. A defeated target is replaced in its exact physical formation slot as printed, including inside the challenger’s formation.
- The War Room Equipping a second Weapon while Dual Wielding with a Shield now opens an explicit signed choice of which Weapon or Shield to destroy. Dragging Cutlass onto a Character can no longer silently choose and discard the first listed Item.
- The War Room Ardian Greathawk's Journey now opens the normal after-move React window for its attached Character, allowing Alrayn Gaunt to perform his printed melee strike after Ardian moves him.
- The War Room Declining Tyren Ruskin's wound-prevention React no longer replays the original attack roll. Characters that kill through an attached Deverenus' Axe effect now receive their proper Kill React timing, including Steelforge Regalia's second full-ATK strike up to its twice-per-turn limit.
- The War Room Fireball and similar adjacent after-strike saves now publish every affected Character’s die, bonus, total, DC, and result in the Dice tray and Battle Feed. Rapid Dash places its pending destinations directly on the battlefield, Swift lets a legal spent caster Journey without adding a Spend cost, and Alrayn Gaunt receives his normal after-move React.
- The War Room Draw-phase cards can be selected for redraw by clicking the full card face. Cloudracer and every certified ITA hand-discard cost expose the exact card payment, opposing forced discards return the choice to the hand owner, and Sleight of Hand directly highlights eligible opposing equipment within one rank.
- The War Room Every Rules Tome feat React now has a certified player-facing path. Charisma, Defend, Magic Resistance, Marksmanship, Powerattack, Riposte, and Stealth identify themselves as feat Reacts, explain the d20 plus current Skill and feat bonus against DC 20 before confirmation, and retain their centered result, Dice tray entry, and Battle Feed record.
- The War Room Marksmanship and Charisma preparation checks now pause for their visible d20 result, show current Skill plus feat bonus against DC 20 in the centered resolution layer and Dice tray, and record a readable pass or failure in the Battle Feed.
- The War Room A card kept revealed on top of a deck can now be clicked or keyboard-opened in the full readable card inspector. Cards selected for a Draw-phase redraw keep a clear red highlight on the entire card until they are unselected or discarded.

8 updates
- The War Room Stealth infiltrators now remain in the opposing formation across End and Ready phases. Their physical rank and formation persist while temporary bonuses and per-turn Stealth uses reset normally.
- The War Room Action cards with one printed Order but several legal outcomes now open those exact choices in a centered desktop and mobile window instead of placing buttons below the hand. Quick Strength now visibly targets and records the attacking Character receiving its ATK bonus, and confirmed Adathan selections close before resolution begins.
- Site Reliability Connection-status notice text and hidden install or recovery controls can no longer intercept battlefield taps on mobile; visible recovery actions remain usable.
- The War Room Rules Tome 2.0.8 certification now maps all 11 feats and 19 keywords to explicit server consumers and records a stable text-evidence hash for every one of the 353 Into the Accordlands identities. Staff can inspect the complete shared-mechanic matrix from Rules Coverage.
- The War Room Spell-produced strikes now ignore Planar exactly as the Rules Tome requires, while Stalwart consistently prevents opposing strike, save, and direct card effects from spending or stunning the protected Character without canceling unrelated parts of those effects.
- The War Room Dungeon cards now use their official global battlefield zone. Any eligible Character may play one when no Dungeon is present, and a Warlord may defeat it by spending a player-selected group of ready Characters whose combined levels meet its Challenge Rating. The battlefield displays the active Dungeon and its challenge controls on desktop and mobile.
- The War Room Charge now initializes whenever a card begins in or enters play, including structured keyword data and the legacy “1 Charge” or “2 Charges” wording used by older cards.
- The War Room Roll Orders and saving throws now pause at the official before-roll timing boundary whenever a legal Charisma React exists. Either seat may grant advantage or disadvantage in range, and the result applies only to that exact upcoming die roll.
August 6, 2026
19 updates
- The War Room Charisma and Marksmanship now resolve as Limited React preparations without spending or passing the active Order, Kurak Stonejaw may Defend every friendly Dwarven Forges Character as adjacent, and Sutek may cast Viscous Goo without spending. Cards with unsupported printed Orders now carry a visible Rules text locked warning, while certification audits static and declarative ITA text against an explicit runtime consumer.
- The War Room Stealth now follows its complete opposing-formation rules: Characters may cross the battle line and move home correctly, failed checks consume their location-based use allowance, True Strike prevents Stealth cancellation, foreign ranks and equipment use physical battlefield positions, and automatic formation changes return or advance infiltrators when required. The battlefield also identifies infiltrators and displays each Stealth user’s remaining checks.
- Site Reliability Deployments now serve a pre-rendered maintenance response while Laravel replaces code, dependencies, migrations, and cache files. Error pages also remain available when the named-route cache itself is unavailable.
- The War Room Sutek Slimefang now measures its Death React from its last battlefield position using opposing battle-line distance, so a Slimefang defeated in rank 1 can spend only an opposing rank-1 Character and one defeated in rank 2 has no target within one rank.
- The War Room Move now exposes a selectable battlefield row when a ready Character falls back into a new rearmost rank, including beyond rank 3 on desktop and mobile.
- Decks The Card Library now has a dedicated printed Subtype filter. Subtype choices narrow to the selected card type, so combinations such as Character plus Dragon find Kingslayer and other matching Characters without mixing in unrelated Action or Item terms.
- Decks Card Library searches, filters, active chips, and pagination now refresh only the library instead of reloading the deck workbench. Visible results are grouped by card type and card name, keep alternate printings together on each page, and surface levels, factions, classes, traits, keywords, feats, and concise rules text for faster deck construction.
- Decks The Card Library can now find Warlords and starting Characters eligible for the deck’s chosen Warlord, then narrow cards by printed Order or React timing, type-line traits, and named keywords or feats.
- Decks The Card Library now has Warlord-focused Type, Level, and deck-status shortcuts; removable active-filter chips; an At Limit view; expanded database-backed sorting; and a cleaner Advanced Filters drawer across desktop and mobile.
- Decks Deck List and Formation card artwork now opens in a click-away readable preview, while Formation shows each complete card face instead of cropping it into a landscape thumbnail.
- Decks Adding, removing, and changing card quantities now updates the active deck workbench without a full-page reload, while signed row versions, locked server checks, validation markers, and normal form fallbacks remain authoritative.
- Decks The deck workbench now has durable Card Library, Formation, Deck List, Rules Check, and Deck Details sections; a remembered List or Grid library; deck-state filters and sorting; and clearer signed quantity controls across desktop and mobile.
- Decks The deck builder now paginates legal cards in the database, shares one official-legality snapshot across each request, caches stable filter lists, and skips the card catalog when reopening Deck List, Rules, Formation, or Details.
- Decks Deck Details now keeps sleeve artwork, reward information, account-default behavior, Notes, and save controls contained inside the editor at desktop and phone widths.
- The War Room Deverenus’ Axe and other strike-time adjacency effects now remember the Characters that were adjacent when the strike hit, so mandatory formation repair cannot replace them with a newly shifted target.
- The War Room Direct kills caused by ranged and printed Spend Orders now retain their lethal strike result and reliably open the defeated Character’s Death React timing.
- The War Room Cards revealed from the deck before entering a public Discard or Banished pile now lift from the sleeved deck, turn face up for inspection, and then travel to their destination.
- The War Room Multiple Draw-phase discards remain selected while the live battlefield checks for updates, and the redundant toolbar pile strip has been removed now that both armies have physical Reserve Bay stacks.
- Forums Forum topics now display privacy-preserving aggregate view totals on category lists, activity feeds, and the discussion itself without allowing refreshes to inflate the count or alter activity order.
August 5, 2026
21 updates
- The War Room Colored and earned card sleeves now use a clean forged-diamond back without a printed W, while server-confirmed draws, discards, and banishments visibly travel between the physical card stacks and the table.
- The War Room Wide battlefields now use their right-side space as a dedicated Reserve Bay, with larger physical Deck, Discard, and Banished stacks for both armies arranged around a Warlord battle-line seal.
- The War Room Dice rolls and the Battle Feed now start behind exclusive toolbar drawers on desktop as well as mobile, giving the battlefield and hand the full table width until a player asks to review either history panel.
- The War Room Each army’s physical Deck, Discard, and Banished stacks now stay visible at its battlefield edge on desktop and in a compact reserve strip on mobile, while the toolbar pile controls remain available as a secondary path.
- The War Room The live battlefield now uses a faction-neutral Accordlands war-table design with dark wood, blackened iron, brass rank lines, a clearer battle line, grouped public piles, stronger dice and battle-feed rails, and a responsive mobile formation that keeps every rank and hand control reachable.
- Beta Testing The Beta Tester Hub now links directly to the private Beta Tester War Council, giving active testers a clear place to compare notes, ask rules questions, and coordinate assignments.
- Forums Forum previews now reserve automatic card links for unambiguous multi-word card names, preventing ordinary words such as Staff or knowledge from becoming catalog links. The card picker can still insert any one-word card as an explicit link.
- Forums Active Beta Testers now have a private Beta Tester War Council forum for general Beta conversation, confidential findings, rules testing, UX feedback, and assignment coordination. Its rooms, topics, replies, search results, and direct links remain invisible to the general community.
- The War Room Card-sleeve selectors on Profile Appearance and deck Details now include a live face-down deck-back and face-up clear-rim preview, including starter colors and earned premium effects.
- The War Room Hand cards and their Play, Inspect, and Draw-discard controls now remain fully visible in short browser windows, while private Survey choices stay above the current-decision dock.
- The War Room Actions with multiple printed Orders now ask which effect to use before choosing a caster, target, or cost, so every currently legal effect remains reachable on desktop and mobile.
- The War Room Beta Testers, Founding Beta Testers, and bounty hunters can now earn premium animated card sleeves. Staff can manage the sleeve catalog and issue or revoke audited rewards without changing completed match snapshots.
- The War Room Every collector now starts with six matte sleeve colors, can choose an account default or a different sleeve for each deck, and sees that saved sleeve on hidden cards, deck stacks, and clear card rims throughout the War Room.
- The War Room The card-sleeve foundation now gives every collector the Classic Warlord sleeve, records permanent earned-sleeve entitlements, and provides a secure account-default selector ahead of deck selection and in-match rendering.
- Friends & Messages Friend cards and accepted Courier conversation headers now show each collector’s online or last-online status when they share presence, while hidden activity remains private.
- Collectors Collector directory cards and public profiles now show Online now or the relative last-online time when presence sharing is enabled, while hidden presence remains private.
- Messages Every outgoing Courier message now shows an explicit Unread receipt until every recipient has opened through it, then updates to Read without reloading the conversation.
- Messages The Courier reply composer now stays beneath the complete conversation history instead of sticking over case operations, private notes, or messages while the page scrolls.
- Beta Testing Staff application reviews now retain a complete server-backed approval path when Livewire cannot attach, with reliable assignment, applicant response, private notes, access expiration, validation feedback, and visible success status.
- Collections Verified collectors can now turn the Into the Accordlands printable checklist into a private prechecked binder snapshot or missing-printing hunt list, choose among their collections, and optionally include saved quantities and conditions.
- Collections Into the Accordlands now has a public blank printable checklist with Base and Master modes, real variant eligibility, optional reference tokens, collector-number ordering, and a compact five-page landscape layout.

7 updates
- Beta Testing Staff assignment creation now has separate Save draft and Publish assignment actions, visible progress feedback, reliable status controls, and a server-backed submission fallback when Livewire cannot attach in the browser.
- The War Room The War Room name now appears consistently across the player experience, Beta Tester program, Staff tools, support messages, installable app description, and public changelog.
- The War Room A strike inside a compound Order now receives its after-strike React timing exactly once. Dreadfang can no longer repeat Poison when the same completed strike is summarized later, and Hrun Instigator retains its required advantage strike through a lethal React and mandatory formation repair.
- The War Room Opening or resuming a match now enters the viewport-sized tabletop automatically, with Match Info available from the table. Mobile phase and pile controls fit without browser-style horizontal scrollbars, leaving more attention on the battlefield and current decision.
- The War Room Battlefield cards now use wider full-art thumbnails with an integrated readable name and combat-stat display. Ready, Spent, Stunned, and wounded states are labeled directly on each card, and player and opponent borders are visually distinct.
- The War Room The current decision, turn phase, battlefield, hand, deck counts, discard piles, and banished piles now share one persistent play stage. The hand remains available while the battlefield scrolls independently, and compact Dice and Feed drawers preserve usable board space on phones.
- The War Room Every additional melee strike now receives its own post-hit React window, including Deverenus' Axe, after any mandatory formation repair. Reaction choices, dice history, card announcements, and live tabletop position also remain compact and readable while the complete timing chain resolves.

24 updates
- The War Room The battlefield now lives inside a bounded tabletop viewport instead of making the whole match page grow taller. Desktop players can pan within the table, recenter on the battle line, keep their camera position through live updates, and continue using zoom without repeatedly scrolling the site page.
- The War Room Playable Characters can now be double-clicked to show their exact legal deployment positions, while playable Actions can be double-clicked to highlight every legal caster before target and effect choices appear. Active turn auto-pass now has an unmistakable Turn off auto-pass control.
- The War Room Master Dresden and Thunic Yeti now show every saving throw with its d20, bonus, total, DC, verdict, and Spend result. Thunic never includes the defeated Character among its adjacent save targets, and compound Orders identify each strike and both dice when advantage applies.
- The War Room Old card events can no longer surface later as unrelated popups, Well Supplied no longer repeats its Action card after the reveal sequence, and the viewport-spanning red target arrow has been removed in favor of card highlights and centered combat presentations.
- The War Room Private match diagnostics now join each submitted command to the exact event state it caused, classify declaration, dice, reaction, choice, repair, and result stages, and run seven automatic integrity checks for missing history, invalid state boundaries, Action-before-effect timing, and incomplete advantage or disadvantage dice.
- The War Room Order overlays and the Battle Feed now use the exact printed effect context: Commander Retsov is labeled as an Order source, Brightwing and Tyren Ruskin explain what their Orders and Reacts did, Rapid Dash names and locates its moving Character, and Thunic Yeti identifies only the living Characters making saves. Well Supplied keeps completed equips inside one reveal window and gives one final Item-to-Character summary instead of stacking modal cards.
- The War Room Additional strikes now identify the exact React, Action, Item, feat, or Order that created them without repeating their hit result in the Battle Feed. Combat overlays retain every committed effect beside the attacker, identical Characters are distinguished by rank and position, and Thunic Yeti identifies the defeated trigger before showing each living adjacent Character’s separate Fortitude save.
- The War Room Rapid Dash now shows its d20 before movement choices appear, while advantage and disadvantage display both rolled dice and clearly identify the kept result. Save labels are easier to read, and redundant red arrows have been removed from card announcements.
- The War Room Commander Retsov now discards the chosen card at the actual cost boundary and names both that card and the incoming Character before resolving play. Self-scoped feat checks no longer misleadingly claim a Character targeted itself, optional multi-strike Orders state “up to” their printed maximum, and opaque React commands inherit their source card name from the authoritative event log.
- The War Room Downloadable and browser-readable match logs now name every Action, source, performer, Item, and target referenced by a command while retaining the technical command and instance identifiers needed for debugging. Cutlass choices now make clear that its movement happens only after a successful Riposte check.
- The War Room Legal Character placements now highlight newly opened rear ranks, attack dice appear before wound-prevention Reacts spend or wound cards, and Rapid Dash movement choices no longer claim that zero cards were revealed.
- The War Room Recruit CPU players no longer consider Cleave during ranged strikes. Movement Orders and Journeys now use the same battlefield-first legal destination highlights and themed confirmation as normal Move on desktop and mobile.
- The War Room A stray click while choosing a mandatory fall-forward destination now cancels only that destination step and returns to Character selection. Well Supplied is always announced before its public reveal choices appear, including after a recovery refresh, and Leveled! now displays its complete permanent stat package on the affected Character.
- The War Room Normal Move now keeps a Back control on the Character action wheel while every legal landing position is highlighted directly on the battlefield; selecting a destination shows a final confirmation before the Character moves.
- The War Room The complete 161-Character Into the Accordlands inventory has been re-audited. Army-reveal class choices, conditional feats, discard casting, discarded Treyik entry, Bone Fiend upkeep, and Skitterleap spell damage now follow their printed rules.
- The War Room Recruit CPU decisions now reject friendly fire and harmful friendly targets across strikes, save Orders, state Orders, movement, Actions, and Reacts, while preserving stronger cards during discard, Survey, class-choice, and revealed-equipment decisions.
- The War Room Dress now correctly grants +3 Armor Class to each wounded Dwarven Forges Character in her rank, including Memoriam.
- The War Room Every Action card is now presented before any of its dice, targets, movement, wounds, or other visible effects resolve, including Action Reacts and CPU-played Actions.
- The War Room Thunic Yeti now displays every Character adjacent to its defeated target, then shows each Fortitude save roll, Skill bonus, total, DC, result, and resulting Spend in sequence.
- The War Room Well Supplied now finishes and shuffles automatically after its last legal equip, rather than leaving a pass-only reveal decision that can make the match appear unresponsive.
- The War Room Recruiter of Misear now lets a player controlling a Mercenary Guilds Warlord choose either a Character’s normal entering rank or the optional rank-one reduction before putting it into play.

- Navigation & Support The More menu now stays above page controls and scrolls within short desktop viewports instead of being cut off. Contact and feedback cases remain in the private staff support queue without duplicating themselves in administrators’ personal Site Inboxes, and unmistakable SEO or reseller solicitations are quietly rejected.
- The War Room Stealth and other feat checks now resolve in one uninterrupted card-and-die presentation, carry their pass or fail result beside the reacting Character during the strike, and skip empty pass-only Reaction panels. - The War Room Initiative dice now receive a fresh presentation every round, and the movement wheel previews the exact highlighted rank and position where the selected Character will land.
- The War Room The initiative result now uses the dark gold War Room presentation theme, while the Dice Tray keeps each numbered d20 intact, gives roll details more room, and no longer clips its recent results.
- The War Room The Recruit CPU now uses Leonora’s additional-strike Limited Order before she attacks and skips that temporary bonus after she is spent or has no legal melee defender.
- The War Room Every Into the Accordlands effect that explicitly reveals cards now follows one shared presentation contract: Arika Ketchum, Birdsong Druid, Farhaven Guide, Fateshift, Lights of Revealing Sword, Mair Haven, Well Supplied, and Xcalam Coatl show only their printed public identities to both players.
- The War Room Deck searches that explicitly say to reveal the selected card now present only that chosen card to both players before it enters the searching player’s hand; Arika Ketchum and Farhaven Guide retain private candidate lists.
- The War Room Fighter-only Arcane Approach now goes directly from Use Order to its legal strike targets instead of asking for an unused friendly movement target first.
