A great deal has changed across Warlord TCG Collector over the last two weeks. This update covers the changes that collectors, deck builders, forum members, and War Room Beta Testers need to know about.
The War Room
Game Lab has officially become The War Room, our private Beta environment for playing Warlord: Saga of the Storm online.
The battlefield has been extensively redesigned:
- Deck, Discard, and Banished piles are visible for both armies.
- Cards animate when drawn, revealed, discarded, or banished.
- Dice rolls and the Battle Feed can be opened from collapsible drawers.
- The battlefield, current decision, phases, hand, and public piles remain accessible throughout play.
- Desktop and mobile layouts have received major improvements.
- Cards more clearly display Ready, Spent, Stunned, wounded, and ownership states.
- Legal targets, costs, movement positions, and follow-up choices are highlighted directly on the battlefield.
- Printed strikes now pause for the player to roll instead of silently resolving.
The complete current Saga card pool has undergone another rules and interaction audit. All 353 Into the Accordlands card identities and all 316 supported printed Order and React lines now use the current targeting, reaction, movement, choice, and dice systems.
Gameplay and rules improvements
Important changes include:
- Orders that generate attacks now let the controlling player choose the defender.
- Multi-strike effects allow a new legal target to be selected for each strike.
- Optional attacks can be declined when permitted by the card.
- Movement and forced-movement effects allow the exact legal rank and position to be selected.
- Saving throws, feat checks, advantage, and disadvantage show their complete dice results.
- Death Reacts trigger correctly after ranged attacks, Spend Orders, generated strikes, and attached-card effects.
- Strike-time adjacency is remembered before formation repair changes battlefield positions.
- Draw-phase discard selections remain highlighted until confirmed.
- Revealed cards can be opened in the full card inspector.
- Cards revealed before entering the Discard or Banished pile are displayed face up first.
- Stealth Characters properly enter and remain in opposing formations.
- Dungeon cards now use their official shared battlefield zone.
- Planar, Stalwart, Charge, Charisma, Marksmanship, Defend, Riposte, Magic Resistance, Powerattack, Stealth, and other major mechanics received additional rules verification.

Command the Overlord
Collectors can now command the official Igniting the Storm Overlord force against their own legal decks or eligible community-published decks.
You must first defeat that Overlord challenge using a deck you own before you can command the Overlord yourself. Victories earned with borrowed or community decks do not unlock command access.
The reversed battle mode supports Diabolus Ryden
Open card record’s special Orders, Burnt Offering, replacement Characters, Stormwraith effects, discard recycling, Overlord victory conditions, and end-of-turn pressure.
Card Sleeves
Every collector now begins with the following sleeves:
- Classic Warlord
- Crimson
- Onyx
- Verdant
- Goldenrod
- Rose
- Azure
You can choose an account-default sleeve and select a different sleeve for an individual deck. Sleeve selectors include a preview showing both a face-down card and a face-up card.
Sleeves appear on decks, hidden hands, card backs, and other concealed cards throughout The War Room.
Beta Vanguard rewards
Beta Vanguard is now a permanent three-tier reward:
- Bronze: Complete 25 qualifying Beta matches.
- Silver: Complete 50 qualifying Beta matches.
- Gold: Complete 100 qualifying Beta matches.
Progress is displayed in the private Beta Tester Hub. Illustrated and animated reward sleeves now retain their intended portrait orientation throughout The War Room.
Private Beta Testing
Verified collectors can apply for War Room Beta access, save an application draft, provide their testing experience and device information, and track their application status.
Active Beta Testers receive access to:
- The War Room
- The private Beta Tester Hub
- Staff-published testing assignments
- Match-evidence submissions
- Testing achievements and reward progress
- Private announcements and feedback
- The Beta Tester War Council
The War Council is a private forum where active testers can discuss assignments, bugs, rules questions, and interface feedback without exposing confidential testing conversations to the general community.
Visit the Beta Tester Hub to review your access, assignments, rewards, and War Council links.
Deck Builder
The deck builder has received a major performance and usability overhaul.
Updates include:
- Adding, removing, and changing card quantities without reloading the entire page.
- Faster loading when editing an existing deck.
- Dedicated Card Library, Formation, Deck List, Rules Check, and Deck Details sections.
- Remembered List and Grid display modes.
- Improved sorting, filtering, and legal-card pagination.
- Clearer quantity and deck-limit controls.
- Complete card artwork in Formation instead of cropped thumbnails.
- Click-to-enlarge artwork in Formation and Deck List.
- Improved sleeve selection and previews.
- Cleaner desktop and mobile layouts.
The Card Library can now filter by:
- Card type
- Printed subtype
- Level
- Faction
- Class
- Order or React timing
- Trait
- Keyword
- Feat
- Already in deck
- At deck limit
Subtype filtering allows combinations such as Character + Dragon to find Characters like Kingslayer without mixing in unrelated Action or Item text.
Official preconstructed decks
The following official Into the Accordlands decks are now available to review and clone:
- Under the Blood Moon
- Elven Branches
- River of Blood
- Deverenian Empire
- Dwarven Forges
Collections and Set Progress
Set Progress is now a dedicated collection workspace instead of being hidden inside collapsed collection shelves.
Each set displays:
- Card completion
- Master completion
- Standard, foil, Extended Art, and other variant totals
- Missing cards
- Owned cards
- Direct catalog and collection actions
Into the Accordlands also has a printable checklist with Base and Master modes. Verified collectors can generate private prechecked binder or missing-card checklists from one of their saved collections, with optional quantities and conditions.
Into the Accordlands setlist correction
The setlist now correctly shows that the full-art versions of the following cards were not produced as foils:
- Church Enforcer Tancred
Open card record - Memoriam
- Tazian Dythanus
Open card record - Adathan, Celestial Messenger
- Alrayn Gaunt
Open card record - Vactus, Spirit’s Champion
Their normal full-art versions remain part of the catalog.
Forums
The forums have received a complete War Table redesign.
Improvements include:
- Cleaner forum and category pages.
- More compact topic lists and navigation.
- Improved discussion, reply, and editing layouts.
- Better author information and accepted-answer presentation.
- Private account-synced drafts.
- Improved Markdown previews and validation.
- Mobile layouts without page-level horizontal scrolling.
- Aggregate topic view counts.
- A private Beta Tester forum.
- A General Beta topic prefix.
- A new limit of 20,000 characters for topics, replies, edits, previews, and drafts.
Automatic card links are now limited to unambiguous multi-word card names. Single-word cards can still be inserted manually through the card picker.
Bug Reporting and Support
The bug-reporting system now supports:
- Structured reproduction steps
- Permanent report numbers
- Private screenshots
- MP4 and WebM recordings
- JSON, TXT, and LOG diagnostics
- Attached War Room match diagnostics
- Reporter-visible progress history
- Private follow-up through Accordlands Courier
- Duplicate-report tracking
- Resolution explanations
The public Bug Tracker contains only sanitized, Staff-published information. Reporter identities, private evidence, diagnostics, messages, and technical details remain private.
Verified collectors can privately follow public issues or mark themselves as affected. Public pages display only aggregate totals.
Courier, Friends, and Online Presence
Accordlands Courier now shows an Unread receipt until every recipient has opened through a message. It then changes to Read without requiring a page reload.
The reply composer now remains below the complete conversation instead of covering messages or case information.
Collector directory cards, public profiles, friend cards, and accepted Courier conversations can display Online now or a relative last-online time when presence sharing is enabled. Collectors who hide their presence remain private.
Cards, Profiles, and Account Protection
Foil cards now use the custom Stormfoil treatment. Metallic effects focus on printed gems, medallions, borders, and card details instead of placing a rainbow effect over the entire card.
Earned avatars, titles, badge frames, avatar borders, and collection styles now use one consistent reward record across the website and mobile API.
Additional privacy and account protections were introduced for:
- Private wishlists and collection totals
- Forum image attachments
- Password and locked-account recovery
- Courier membership changes
- Simultaneous friend, removal, and blocking actions
- Private bug reports and supporting evidence
